How to even out the tan on your face from wearing glasses

Summer is a time of active sun and stylish accessories. However, those who love to wear sunglasses have one common problem: by the end of the season, there are distinct white traces from the arms and frames on the face. How to get rid of this "invisibility accessory" and return the skin to a uniform tone? Let's explore the main methods.

1. Gentle exfoliation (peeling)
The most common cause of uneven tanning is the accumulation of keratinized cells in areas that were not protected by the glasses and their lack in the areas under the frame.

What to do: Use a mild enzymatic peel or gommage (not aggressive scrubs with large particles!). This will help to smoothly "erase" the boundaries of the tan, accelerating the renewal of the epidermis. Repeat the procedure 1-2 times a week.
2. Self-tanner as a "digital retoucher"
This is the fastest way to visually even out the skin tone.

How to use: Do not apply self-tanner to the entire face — this will only make the contrast even more noticeable. Take a cotton swab or a thin brush and apply the product only to the white stripes.
The secret to success: Choose products labeled "for face" and with a light texture (drops or mousse). If the shade is too dark, quickly correct it with a cotton pad soaked in toner.
3. Proper makeup (contouring in reverse)
If you need to look flawless "here and now", cosmetics will come to the rescue.

Technique: Use a concealer that matches the shade of your tanned skin. Apply it to the light stripes, and then gently blend the borders with a fluffy brush. Go over the top with a light bronzer to even out the transitions.
4. Vitamin C and lightening serums
If you do not want to use self-tanning, you can gradually lighten darker areas of the skin with the help of care cosmetics.

What to look for in the composition: Serums with vitamin C, niacinamide, kojic acid or licorice extract. These components gently suppress the production of melanin and eventually make the tan more uniform.
Important: Don't forget about SPF! Even if you want to "even out" your tan, without protection, you risk getting pigmentation, which will be much more difficult to get rid of.
5. What you should definitely not do
Rub your skin hard: Aggressive scrubs can damage your skin and cause inflammation.
"Sunbathe" without glasses: Many people come up with the idea of sitting in the sun without glasses to "fill" the white stripes. This is a bad strategy: the skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive, and it burns out faster and develops wrinkles. It's better to wait this out by using makeup.
Use aggressive bleaching agents: Home remedies with lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide can cause chemical burns.
The main tip for the future
To avoid wondering how to remove white streaks in the next season, try changing your glasses frame from time to time (to a thinner or different shape) or moving them a couple of millimeters on the bridge of your nose. It's better to choose sunglasses with wider arms during periods of low solar activity, so that the "tanning mark" is less pronounced.

Remember: a smooth complexion is beautiful, but skin health is more important than any tan. Don't forget about proper hydration to speed up the skin's renewal process!
